Arj Wignaraja, formerly Managing Director at Stax Inc., founded the Colombo, Sri Lanka office in 2005. He continues to advise teams of consultants, analysts, and technical specialists who work directly or in conjunction with their U.S.-based colleagues to support Stax’s client engagements around the world. Arj holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Economics, with honors, from Princeton University.
Prof Ajith de Alwis is a Professor at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Moratuwa and is also the Director of the University of Moratuwa-Cargills Food Process Development Incubator. Served as the Chairman of Engineering Research Unit (ERU) of Univ of Moratuwa from 2005-7. He was also the Science team leader for Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) from its inception in 2008 to 2011, and Chairman of the National nanotechnology committee at NSF from 2011-2012. He is currently the Project Director of recently instituted Coordinating Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI) Sri Lanka.
Vidya Jothi Prof. Arjuna Aluwihare, Emeritus Professor of Surgery at the University of Peradeniya. Apart from an illustrious career as a surgeon, he has been the Vice Chancellor of his University, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, and Chairman of the Board of Study in Surgery of the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo, overseeing Surgical Training in the whole country. He is Ex President of the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka, bears several prestigious fellowships from Sri Lanka and abroad and has written widely inclduing a Chapter in the recent Oxford Textbook of Surgery.
Mr. Nayana Samaranayake attended Royal College where he did his G.C.E. Advance Level Examination in 2000 prior to moving to the United States. Nayana received his B.Sc. in Computer Science with a minor in Economics in 2003 from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. He then went on to complete a M.Sc. in Sanford University
Nishad Jayasundara, Ph.D., a postdoctoral researcher at Duke University, is the 18th recipient of the annual Karen Wetterhahn Memorial Award, which was presented at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the NIEHS Superfund Research Program (SRP) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jayasundara’s research centers on understanding how rapid and profound changes in the environment affect the health of ecosystems and, in turn, the health and wellbeing of humans.
Shiromi Arunathilleka, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer at University of Colombo School of Computing. Her interest areas align in IT Management, IT Policy and IT Strategic Planning for Competitor Advantage.
Rashmika Nawaratne joined SL2College in March 2012 after hearing about it while studying at Royal College. He is currently in his final year at the University of Moratuwa, completing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Rashmika started by volunteering at the SL2C stall at EDEX and being the PM of the SLEF team, and was recently promoted to be the admin of seminars and volunteer/team building.
